Add the Locus MCP server to the chat or coding app you already use, then approve it in your browser. Use this when you work with the agent yourself. For an agent that runs unattended, use an agent key instead.

How it works

Your client starts a standard OAuth sign-in. Locus shows you a consent screen, you approve, and the client receives a token it stores and refreshes on its own. You never paste a key.
  • The consent screen shows the workspace and the access the client asks for.
  • If your workspace has tool sets, you choose the set this connection uses.
  • Signed-in clients appear under Connect → API keys in Connected apps.

Set up your client

In your workspace, Connect → Set up walks you through each client. You can also follow the steps below. Want the skills too? The Locus plugin installs the connection and skills together. You only need one connection.
Open Customize → Connectors → Yours → Add connector → Add custom connector. Name it Locus, enter the MCP server URL above, choose Connect, and complete browser sign-in.Then open Customize → Skills → Yours → Add skill → Upload skill and upload all three archives:Claude Code uses the plugin instead.
The Locus CLI can print a ready-to-paste configuration for several clients with locus mcp config --client <name>.
