Some tools create something that keeps running after the call, such as an email inbox, a phone number, a code sandbox, or a hosted service. Resources lists them in one place so you can see what is running and what expires soon, and renew or release it. It’s available on Locus Pro and Locus Pro Enterprise.

How it works

Locus adds a resource to the list when a supported tool creates one through your account. You don’t need to register anything. Some resources expire, and some renew and keep costing credits until you release them.

Review your resources

1

Open Resources

Select Resources in the sidebar. Each row shows the resource’s name, service, type, status, when it was created, and which key or connection created it.
2

Check end dates

When a resource has an end date, its status shows when it expires. Resources that renew automatically say Renews instead of Expires.
3

Filter the list

Filter by status or service. In a Locus Pro Enterprise workspace, you can also filter by end user. The Released filter includes expired resources.

Release or renew

  • Release ends a resource at the provider. This can’t be undone. Some providers charge for a release; the confirmation shows the price when Locus knows it in advance.
  • Renew extends a resource for the period shown. The confirmation shows the period and price, and the charge comes from your credits when you confirm.
A button appears only when the provider supports that action and your role can spend. Renew also requires a fixed price that Locus can quote.

Automatic renewal

Some resources, such as hosted services, renew from your credits on a schedule until you release them. Their end date is the next renewal. If a renewal can’t be charged, the resource becomes Past due and the provider can suspend it. Add credits, then select Renew to reactivate it. Select Release to cancel automatic renewal.

Who can see and manage resources

  • Viewing: dashboard members with read access and secret keys see every resource in the workspace. Agent keys and MCP connections see resources on their own account.
  • Releasing and renewing: you need permission to spend, such as the Owner, Admin, or Billing role. Members with the Developer or Viewer role see the list without buttons.
  • End users (Enterprise): each end user sees and acts on only their own resources.
  • Sandbox keys cannot read or change resources.

Ask your agent

Your agent can list what it created through MCP. Listing is free and works on read-only connections.
Try this prompt
To release or renew, use the dashboard or the API with a credential that can spend. Through the API, you state the renewal price you expect, and Locus refuses a renewal that costs more before charging.
