OpenClaw, Hermes, Muse, and Instinct can run the Locus installer themselves. Send one prompt in a new agent session, and the agent installs Locus and asks you to approve it.

Send the prompt

Use the same prompt in OpenClaw, Hermes, Muse, or Instinct:
Install prompt

How it works

The installer chooses a supported MCP or CLI adapter, installs locus, locus-setup, and locus-workflows, starts authentication, and checks a free readiness operation. Complete any browser approval or restart it requests.
Hermes does not currently have a public plugin listing. Current OpenClaw does not import the MCP entry from its marketplace bundle. Use the one-link route for both clients today.

Copy the prompt from the dashboard

You can also copy this prompt from Connect → Set up. Copy prompt asks how the agent will sign in:
  • In your browser: the agent sends you a link to approve.
  • With an agent key: Locus creates an agent key and puts it in the prompt. Use this for agents that run on their own. The agent signs in to the Locus CLI with the key.

About agent keys

  • An agent key can call the tools you’ve turned on and nothing else.
  • It spends from your balance and expires after 30 days.
  • A prompt that holds an agent key is a secret. Send it only to the agent that will use it.
  • Revoke the key any time under Connect → API keys.
