# Sign-in and security

> Choose how you sign in to Locus Pro and keep your workspace secure.

Sign in to Locus Pro with a password, a passkey, or a linked provider, and protect sensitive workspace changes with verification. This page is for every workspace member, and especially for owners and admins.

> Agents: the exact contract for this feature is at [https://paywithlocus.com/agent/integrate.md](https://paywithlocus.com/agent/integrate.md). Start from [https://paywithlocus.com/agent/index.md](https://paywithlocus.com/agent/index.md) if you are implementing Locus.

## How it works

Your Locus identity can use several sign-in methods. Sensitive changes ask an owner or admin to verify again with MFA or a passkey before Locus applies them.

```mermaid theme={null}
  Change["Owner or admin starts a sensitive change"] --> Verify["Complete MFA or passkey verification"]
  Verify --> Applied["Locus applies the change"]
```

Sensitive changes include creating keys and changing membership.

## Choose a sign-in method

* **Password or passkey.**
* **A linked provider:** Google, GitHub, GitLab, or Ethereum, when configured.

Manage linked methods from **Account security**. Link an Ethereum wallet there before you use it to sign in. Wallet sign-in requests a message signature. It doesn't authorize a transaction or access to funds.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Accounts with SMS or TOTP multi-factor authentication must use a password
> or passkey to complete sign-in.

## Secure your workspace

* Give each team member their own login and only the access they need. See [Team and roles](https://docs.paywithlocus.com/locus-pro/team-and-roles.md).
* Disconnecting a sign-in method stops future sign-ins through it. To revoke existing sessions, change your password.
* An owner or admin can rename the workspace under **Settings → Workspace**. Every member sees the new name.
* To hand the workspace to another member, see [ownership transfer](https://docs.paywithlocus.com/locus-pro/team-and-roles.md#transfer-ownership).
