# Commercial plans

> How personal connection plans, evaluations, contracted credit subscriptions, and enterprise agreements differ.

Locus Pro separates three kinds of payment: prepaid tool credits, a personal OAuth-client connection plan, and enterprise commercial terms. Buying usage credits never starts an enterprise contract or changes a connection plan.

## Personal pay as you go

A verified identity can create one personal account. It starts at exactly **\$0**, includes no free or promotional credits, and has no pilot or enterprise minimum. Add prepaid funds under **Credits** before the first paid call. Personal top-ups do not receive enterprise volume bonuses.

Personal accounts enable tools under **Tools** and connect compatible clients through browser OAuth under **Connections**. They do not expose tenant API keys, end-user balances, markup, the billing widget, Stripe Connect, team membership, or enterprise volume benefits.

### Personal connection plans

Connection plans limit how many OAuth-connected clients can remain active. They do not limit simultaneous requests or sessions. Tool usage remains prepaid and is charged separately.

| Plan | Monthly price | Active OAuth-connected clients |
| --------- | ------------: | -----------------------------: |
| Included | \$0 | 1 |
| Plus | \$20 | 3 |
| Unlimited | \$200 | Unlimited |

Upgrade from **Connections**. Stripe bills paid plans monthly. A cancellation remains active through the current billing period, then returns the account to Included. Changing a connection plan does not add usage credits.

## Invited evaluation

An approved evaluation invitation creates a separate evaluation workspace with **\$25 in Locus-funded, non-refundable promotional credits**. The promotional balance can call the hosted catalog at its normal prices.

An evaluation can also buy credits, configure auto-recharge, and let end users fund themselves. Those actions change the prepaid balance only. They do not activate an enterprise agreement, begin a paid pilot, enable payouts, or retroactively turn evaluation usage into invoiced usage.

## Contracted recurring credit subscription

Some sales-led workspaces have a separate recurring monthly **credit** subscription configured by Locus. Each UTC billing period grants the contracted amount to the workspace pool as promotional credits. The **Settings** page shows whether the subscription is active, the monthly amount, and the current period end. This is not the personal Plus or Unlimited connection plan.

Tenant keys cannot activate, cancel, or resize a subscription. Contact your Locus representative for a change. A subscription allowance is distinct from card top-ups, auto-recharge, and an enterprise platform-fee commitment.

## Standard enterprise structure

Unless an Order Form says otherwise, the standard structure is:

* **Pilot:** 8 weeks for **\$15,000**, plus hosted API usage and payment-processing costs.
* **Production:** 12 months with a **$60,000 annual commitment**, implemented as a **$5,000 monthly minimum**.
* **Usage fee:** 5% of the first $100,000 in monthly provider-cost basis, 4% of the next $400,000, and 3% above \$500,000.
* **Monthly platform fee:** the greater of the \$5,000 minimum and the marginal usage fee. It is not the minimum plus the usage fee.
* **Payment terms:** Net 30 by default.

| Monthly provider-cost basis | Gross platform fee |
| --------------------------: | -----------------: |
| \$20,000 | \$5,000 minimum |
| \$100,000 | \$5,000 |
| \$500,000 | \$21,000 |
| \$1,000,000 | \$36,000 |

The tiers are marginal, not retroactive. At $500,000, the calculation is `$100,000 × 5% + $400,000 × 4% = $21,000\`.

## Hosted API prices stay authoritative

Activating an enterprise agreement does not change a hosted catalog endpoint's returned per-call price. Locus records the versioned provider-cost basis and the Locus service component already embedded in that price. The embedded service component is credited dollar-for-dollar against that month's gross platform fee, cannot make the fee negative, and does not carry into another month.

The usage-fee basis excludes your end-user markup, payment-processing fees, taxes, failed calls released before a burn, and separately contracted add-ons. Provider usage still comes from prepaid pool or end-user balances; an enterprise invoice is accounts receivable and is never silently debited from an end user's credits.
